Marianne Cotterill - A Stylist's Home

I have always adored Marianne Cotterill's work, as a stylist I think she really stands out with her particular look. When I saw her home I immediately fell in love  - a haven of colours and feminine details. Each room is truly a work of art with such an eclectic mix. It is no surprise to me that her place is utterly fabulous...

Studio Pinwu

As mentioned previoulsy one of my my favourite brands during Milan Design week was by Studio Pinwu. Here, designers Zhang lei from China, Christoph John from Germany and Jovana Bogdanovic from Serbia spent the last 2 years researching natural and traditional materials used in the Yuhang region of China. The results are a collection of furniture pieces which focus on the original local crafts such as bamboo, water silk floss, porcelain and paper. They definitely caught my eye that week and so here are a few example of their lovely products.

 Material: porcelain and beech wood.

Back From Milan

I'm finally back from Milan after a busy but fun week. Plenty of inspiration, meeting new and familiar faces and also taking time out and enjoying the city. The weather was also in our favour, what started with grey clouds and rain ended with bright blue clear skies. I couldn't have asked for a better week. I will be back soon with snaps from some of my highlights from FuoriSalone. In the mean time here is a shot of one of my favourite areas when in Milan, Navigli.

Living Room Inspiration

As many of you know I'm in the process of decorating my own space so you always need that extra inspiration. I always find the hardest projects are the ones for yourself, simply because I am a lover of different styles and it's easy to get carried away with so many ideas. When dealing with a client I seem to find it pretty straight forward - well, most of the time anyway ;)

Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite living room looks that I am really loving at the moment and in which I am thinking of incorporating certain elements into my own space.

I love how this simple living room is brought to life with pops of colour. Pretty cushions, a few accessories and a colourful rug adds depth to this simple canvas. I do love that coffee table too and am looking for something quite similar. Via Design Manifest.

Moving away from colour I also like this monochrome space. The wooden pieces and brick wall really add warmth to this interior - A modern space that has so much personality. Via Bo Bedre.

Pops of pink always make me happy and the retro furniture is fabulous! The colour grey is always a favourite of mine. Via The Klein.

Scandinavian chic with a bare simplicity that is always inviting. Via The Guardian.

A girly living room with some edge - Oh I do love that rug... Via sfgirlbybay.

Styling With Pastels

I am a big fan of pastel colours so when I stumbled onto this gorgeous styling shoot from Linda Åhman I was in heaven. I think the mix of colours she uses are fabulous and some of those retro objects are just too damn cool. I'm always in awe of talented stylists as I know how much effort and work goes behind the scenes to produce beautiful shots as such. These are just perfect for the Spring season...

Ps. I hope you all had a lovely Easter break.
