Introducing Sue Ure Ceramics

Happy New year! I know it is a little late but I haven't actually had an opportunity to wish you all a fab start to the year. With the holidays already a thing of the past, 2014 started with a bang as it has been non stop busy, which is always rather nice.

On a different note today I thought I would share with you a recent discovering of mine. I am totally obsessed with these gorgeous ceramics by Sue Ure, which I spotted at Home London.

Sue moved to France in 1994 and her work has been affected by the colours and landscape of her rural environment. As well as developing an ever-evolving range of tableware and vase designs, Sue also works on collections for specific projects. Here is a look at some of her lovely products.

Introducing Tortus Copenhagen

I recently came across Tortus Copenhagen during Tent London and was immediately drawn to their beautiful products. Tortus designs and produces high quality hand-made ceramics in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Run by Eric Landon and Karin Blach Nielsen, they both are graduates of prestigious European schools for art and design and have nearly 40 years of ceramic experience between them.

'Our production is based on a seamless dialogue between design and hand-work which drives an ever-evolving production of ceramics rich in form, colour and texture, making each encounter with our objects something unique'.

I simply find their colours and delicate forms absolutely stunning, wouldn't you agree?
