My Week In Pictures

Hello lovely people, hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Last week I flew out to London for a few days for work commitments and also a chance to catch up with family and friends. November has been a crazy busy month and I cannot believe it is already December - can you? Not long till Christmas now and of course I am no where near organised, as always :)

So excuse the blog absence but for those of you following me via Instagram (ariannainteriors) can see what I get up to. Anyway I thought I'd share some snaps from my week.

Have a lovely Monday!

1.No London trip is complete without stopping by in Harrods especially around Christmas time; 2.The Sainsburys SS14 press preview was spot on - some really lovely designs; 3.London is so beautiful so I couldn't resist taking a snap of Eros in its snow globe in Piccadilly Circus; 4.Had a lovely family lunch at one of my all time favourite Italian restaurants, Montpeliano; 5.Shopping in London is always fun; 6.Flying back to Pisa and enjoying the view which I can never get tired of; 7.A little road trip with love and enjoying the views; 8.Sunday is time for baking and trying out this gorgeous blueberry & lemon  cake from Farmhouse Home; 9.Sunsets are always so magical.

What I Wore: A Day On The Beach...

I spent a lovely afternoon by the beach last Sunday. Beautiful mild weather and hardly anyone around, it was total bliss. I love it how after the chaos that is Summer, Autumn is a season to regroup, think and feel inspired...

Have a lovely day!

Inspiring Places: Pietrasanta

Pietrasanta is one of those places that I call a hidden gem, it is absolutely breath taking. A historic medieval and artistic town in northern Tuscany,  it is also known as the 'city of artists' or 'small Athens' for its marble studios and beautiful monuments. The town has Roman origins but the modern town is named after its founder Guiscardo Pietrasanta who built it in the mid-thirteenth century as part of the republic of Lucca. It is an absolute haven for artists who live or work here and was also a hot spot for Michelangelo. With numerous art galleries and exhibits and beautiful boutiques I am very lucky to visit this place often and do recommend it to anyone touring around Tuscany.

Here are a few snapshots taken on a cloudy Saturday afternoon...

Daily Inspiration: Photographer Tia Borgsmidt

A little pick me up for a wednesday afternoon with these lovely images from Danish photographer Tia Borgsmidt. I find these interiors so pretty, wouldn't you agree? The accent colours in each shot have such a feel good factor. Anyway I thought I just had to share them with you. Happy Wednesday...

Workspace Inspiration

Renovations at my new place are all a go go at the moment. It's been a crazy few months and while we are slowly making progress I feel there is still a long way to go... I guess I'm just fed up of all the chaos that comes with it. I have really missed not having a proper designated work area in the last few months. My small room is nearly ready so all I have to do now is decorate it - Yay! It's always fun when styling a new space so I've been busy gathering inspiration from elsewhere...

I'm thinking I might go for the monochrome look, black and white with an industrial edge to it. And then there's also the pretty pastels look.. Decisions decisions.

Here are a few of my favourite styles...

Pretty Pastels With Laura Fulmine

Here are some pretty pastel images styled by the talented Laura Fulmine. These interiors are what I need on this miserable Friday morning, I am beginning to doubt that the Spring season actually exists at all! On a different note I love it how these spaces really work. That dining area is a great example how you can really mix pastel colours with dark bold pops of colour, in this case black. A daring approach for some but it works! I also do love how the door, window frames and dado rails are also coloured in pretty pastels not to mention the fireplace.

You know me. I'm a sucker for pastels ;)

My Week On Instagram

Hello lovelies, hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Sorry for the silence but the last couple of weeks have been extremely busy with photo shoots, work and catching up with friends and family. There really are never enough hours during the day! So I thought I would share with you some instagram snaps during the last week. Instagram is definitely my favourite social media platform - I just love it and am completely obsessed with it. If you are on it then do join me, you'll find me under ariannainteriors.

Happy Monday everyone!

Marianne Cotterill - A Stylist's Home

I have always adored Marianne Cotterill's work, as a stylist I think she really stands out with her particular look. When I saw her home I immediately fell in love  - a haven of colours and feminine details. Each room is truly a work of art with such an eclectic mix. It is no surprise to me that her place is utterly fabulous...

Living Room Inspiration

As many of you know I'm in the process of decorating my own space so you always need that extra inspiration. I always find the hardest projects are the ones for yourself, simply because I am a lover of different styles and it's easy to get carried away with so many ideas. When dealing with a client I seem to find it pretty straight forward - well, most of the time anyway ;)

Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite living room looks that I am really loving at the moment and in which I am thinking of incorporating certain elements into my own space.

I love how this simple living room is brought to life with pops of colour. Pretty cushions, a few accessories and a colourful rug adds depth to this simple canvas. I do love that coffee table too and am looking for something quite similar. Via Design Manifest.

Moving away from colour I also like this monochrome space. The wooden pieces and brick wall really add warmth to this interior - A modern space that has so much personality. Via Bo Bedre.

Pops of pink always make me happy and the retro furniture is fabulous! The colour grey is always a favourite of mine. Via The Klein.

Scandinavian chic with a bare simplicity that is always inviting. Via The Guardian.

A girly living room with some edge - Oh I do love that rug... Via sfgirlbybay.
