Friday Inspiration: American Trade Hotel

Today I am feeling inspired by these images of The American Trade Hotel, which opened its doors last fall in Panama City, occupying a lovingly restored landmark building in Casco Viejo. The property stands at the ecological and cultural crossroads of the Americas, deeply connected to both the historic Old Quarter and the nascent new Panama City – a meeting place for influencers, creatives and cultures from around the world.

The interiors are a pure mix of past and present influences. The beautiful floor tiles used through out the hotel are to die for and I am also loving the mid century modern furniture pieces...

Simply divine!

From Paris With Love

Just got back from a lovely break in Paris with my good friend Will Taylor and I'm already feeling nostalgic. This city never ceases to amaze me - it is just breathtakingly beautiful even when it is pouring down with rain. Visiting  Maison d'Objet, It was lovely to catch up with a favourite of mine, Mariska Meijers and also meet the lovely Linda Bloomfield. So many lovely products and stands to take in that it was all overwhelming. It just seems to get bigger and bigger...

A few days of the trade show, we managed to wander the streets of Paris  and have a little fun. It was also great to finally meet the sweet Lindsey Tramuta who really does know her stuff about food - thanks to her we ate at some of the best places.  Fabulous to also get to hang with Karine from BODIE and FOU, Igor Josif and Philippe Dantin. Great food & great company.

Inspiring Places: Pietrasanta

Pietrasanta is one of those places that I call a hidden gem, it is absolutely breath taking. A historic medieval and artistic town in northern Tuscany,  it is also known as the 'city of artists' or 'small Athens' for its marble studios and beautiful monuments. The town has Roman origins but the modern town is named after its founder Guiscardo Pietrasanta who built it in the mid-thirteenth century as part of the republic of Lucca. It is an absolute haven for artists who live or work here and was also a hot spot for Michelangelo. With numerous art galleries and exhibits and beautiful boutiques I am very lucky to visit this place often and do recommend it to anyone touring around Tuscany.

A Day In Lucca

Morning my lovelies, hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I managed to get some things done in our place which is slowly coming together! We also spent a lovely afternoon in Lucca, which is definitely one of my favourite Tuscan cities. Here are a few snaps from our day...

Summer Lovin'

With a busy work schedule I managed to squeeze in a long relaxing weekend. It's always important to switch off I find especially when working constantly online. Making time for loved ones should never be taken for granted so weekends are pretty sacred for me... I especially love this time of year, Summer is by far my favourite season. Long walks by the beach, listening to the sound of the waves, laughter amongst friends, watching the sun go down and enjoying some good authentic gelato! 

It's the simple things in life...

PS. A big thank you for the birthday wishes that I received via twitter, Facebook, instagram and emails, I was truly touched... And yes I happen to share it with a Royal baby ;)

Back From Milan

I'm finally back from Milan after a busy but fun week. Plenty of inspiration, meeting new and familiar faces and also taking time out and enjoying the city. The weather was also in our favour, what started with grey clouds and rain ended with bright blue clear skies. I couldn't have asked for a better week. I will be back soon with snaps from some of my highlights from FuoriSalone. In the mean time here is a shot of one of my favourite areas when in Milan, Navigli.
